This blog will describe the preparation and log of a walking trip from Rome to my hometown Antwerp. It will be a ‘100 day – 2000 km’ walk mostly using existing long distance tracks. The road will start with the Francis’s path between Rome and La Verna, then it will follow the ‘GEA’ route over the Apennines, after crossing the Po valley, the Splügen pass will be taken in the Alps, the western road in the black forest in Germany will lead me to the low countries.
My wife Chris is keeping track of the status of the sponsoring for AMAR. Uptill now we have 60 Eurocent for each Km that is done! Thanks a lot for all those who contributed, this keeps me going!
