This blog will describe the preparation and log of a walking trip from Rome to my hometown Antwerp. It will be a ‘100 day – 2000 km’ walk mostly using existing long distance tracks. The road will start with the Francis’s path between Rome and La Verna, then it will follow the ‘GEA’ route over the Apennines, after crossing the Po valley, the Splügen pass will be taken in the Alps, the western road in the black forest in Germany will lead me to the low countries.
The station in Montelibretto seems after some hills and a misplaced waymarker 15km from the centre of Montelibretto.
But there I'm lucky to have train to Chuisi where my sister awaits me, and drives me to the first aid in Cateligione del Lago. After take care of my feet they tell me not to walk for 2 or 3 days, so I decide to stay in Tuoro for some days, where I have good company of some of my sister friends. Getting ready to strike again on Tuesday, to continue the road to Farfa.
